BUTTER stills

Back in October I shot a short filmed called BUTTER for my friend, director David Chen.  

We shot on the Sony F3 with Zeiss CP2 lenses.  We used an F3 with the S-log upgrade and I was impressed with the footage despite recording to the onboard SxS media in 4:2:0 8-bit color space.  Knowing that the image would be heavily compressed on the SxS cards, I tried to light and shoot as close to the final image as we could get.  I'll be interested to sit down and color correct the final film to see how deeply we can dig into the image before noise and artifacts begin to show...
